What is BREEAM?

BREEAM is an assessment process that evaluates the procurement, design, construction and operation of a development against targets based on set performance benchmarks. A development is given a target of which level it should reach ranging from a simple Pass up to Excellent and finally Outstanding.

It measures a sustainable value in a number of key categories a few of which are named below:

➢ Waste
➢ Energy
➢ Transport
➢ Innovation
➢ Land use
➢ Pollution

In each category a development with score points based on which targets they reach with an overall score being given dependant on performance.

 
How Can JPE assist with my BREEAM score?

JPE can assist a developments score in a number of categories

➢ Materials Our use of upcycled materials in our aggregates production means that we can offer a large range of materials for a number of functions which will assist in higher ratings in both the Responsible Sourcing of Materials, Recycled Aggregates and Material Efficiency sub categories.

➢ Waste By Diverting Construction Waste from Landfill in the processing of our sustainable aggregates through our washing and crushing plants we can assist in a developments Site Waste Management Plan that will add points to its score.
